“I discovered the Urantia Book when it was first introduced to me by a friend musician colleague of mine.  Ironically enough, he also discovered the book via a musician while reading an interview with famous jazz composer and bassist Jaco Pastorius.  Jaco had been inspired to write a song named “Havona” based upon inspirations from the Urantia Book, and this strange name intrigued me greatly.

“Having always been a truth seeker, I was instantly curious about the book and attracted to the beautiful writing style and diversity of subjects ranging from cosmology to history to science and religion.  The Urantia Book expanded my imagination and deeply moved me spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually.  As a result, my creativity surged and I felt inspired to write musical pieces in honor of this incredible revelation.

“For me, the project of writing Urantia Book inspired music is a personal passion as well as a release from my day to day jobs as a “work for hire” musical composer, programmer, editor, and producer.  These inspired compositions are meant to tell various stories from the Urantia Book as well as to invoke the imagination.  But also, these pieces are part of my personal contribution to God the Supreme, and I write them in honor of our Universal Father as an outward expression of worship, appreciation, and love.  My hope is that I am serving my fellows by bringing some beauty and inspiration to their day to day lives with music!

“My goal is to eventually finish these compositions and put out an album dedicated to the Urantia Book that may help spread awareness and attract new readers while energizing seasoned readers alike.  However, in the meantime I still enjoy sharing these “works in progress” (some songs are more finished than others), and I showcase them on my website, free of charge, for all who wish to visit and listen in.  Please enjoy and allow these soundscapes, melodies, and harmonies to energize the spirit, inspire the mind, and grow the soul!

The Urantia Book says, ”The high mission of any art is, by its illusions, to foreshadow a higher universe reality, to crystallize the emotions of time into the thought of eternity.” (48:7.23)
